Ash is a hard wood, usually with color variation on each plank. We typically downplay the color variation by our custom finishing process. Another Option would be the Ash Olive with no knots but still having the color variation. Many people choose to finish the Ash Olive with a clear coat or even a white oil finish to accent the color variation. Arrigoni Woods also carries Ash Light, that has no color variation and is a very blond wood with a minimal grain when finished with a clear polyurethane. Ash Rustic is a great wood to handscrape and finish in any color you would choose.
