Spruce is a light colored wood with knots. It can vary from a smooth sanded surface to a reclaimed surface with original distressing. Spruce is a soft wood and so it needs to be noted that it will dent over time. Arrigoni Woods reclaimed spruce is engineered so it will be more stable than a solid spruce floor. With its wide planks and distinctive original surface this floor is quite rustic in appearance.
Arrigoni Woods offers several hard wood and wide plank floors to choose from, as well as CUSTOM FINISHES which can be applied to any wood surface. For general wood information, please view the WOOD COMPARISON CHART. For more detailed information, contact Arrigoni Woods and speak with our knowledgeable staff. They can help you narrow the choices and select the best solution for your floors.

Spruce Trivia
There are approximately 35 species of spruce trees. Spruces are large trees, from 20–60 (–95) m tall when mature. The word "spruce" derives from an obsolete term for Prussia in Polish ("z Prus"). Spruce is used for many purposes, ranging from wood floors to musical instruments and aircraft. The Wright Brothers' first aircraft was built of spruce.
